A Creative Dream Sign

DO you have creative dreams? Craft in your sleep? I have had many dreams/ideas that I had to wake up and write down. That hasn't happened in  a long time but I still keep a pad of paper and pen beside my bed just in case ;)
I imagine that many people have creative dreams in one form or another. Juliana is one of those people I assumed does so I created this sign just for her. I knew I wanted to make her a sign while I was waiting for other things to dry. You will see those as time goes on.
Ah the butterfly, my favorite part ya know! LOL Double layered with a chip board one as the base. I painted it cream and pink. Stamped it with a music note stamp. Then I painted over that here and there. I did the grungeboard letters the same way. I love how it all came together.

many items from the hoard vault were used on this piece. The trim with bells and glass beads. One of my favorites. I think I used all but 4 or 5 inches. Maybe just enough to use on a card perhaps.
Shabby is not my style but I felt good knowing I could pull it off if I had to. LOL  The Prima paper was the star of the show for this piece though. Made it so easy.

That is all for now. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend! Remember our troops in your thoughts.
 Blessings,Pea

Remember my sneak peek?

Remember I teased you with just a wee peek of this pretty? Well I wanted to share that I created something but the person I made this for watches my blog. So I couldn't. She received her package on Tuesday and so now I can show you more.
yes, this is a cupcake ballerina. I repainted her, used some stickles. Cut off the base and added a Tim Holtz washer to place her on the letter.
A Tim Holtz book plate and a butterfly wing. Along with some old sheet music and a wee bit of lace.
 Now for the full view.

I really love how this piece turned out!  Thanks to everyone for stopping by.

My Cup runnith over

Daddy always said you could measure the success of a persons life by their friends and the quality of them. I am very fortunate to know some very good quality people and even luckier to call a few of them friends.
One such person is Tracy of Tracy's treasures. She is probably one of the closest people on the planet to me besides my BFF and my family. She is sincere and just a genuine good egg! A bit scrambled on days but I hey, I know I am so it works out for both of us! LOL I know she will laugh at that statement, she gets my humor. Most people don't. I guess in this case it takes one to know one! LOL

Okay, enough mush on to the real reason of my post. I have received some wonderful happy mail in the past few days. One such bit of happy mail was this beautiful card. It made me smile and laugh as well. Tracy knows what I like. Scrap stuff. LOL so she geared the card towards a few of my favorite things. LOL
I am sure she spent countless hours coloring this image as well. I love her coloring. It is so good. I have a lot of catching up to do to be this good. Maybe one day perhaps.
Tracy also sent a long a few stamps. She knows my love of the gorjuss girls stamps. So she ordered a few of them for me! I have inked them up but not colored them yet. I will hopefully soon. Just not enough hours in the days. Now if you know how to make a clone, we need to talk! LOL
 Here are my pretty stamps
So adorable! I love them both. I look forward to trying my hand at these.  Thanks so much Tracy! I don't know what I would do without ya!

A little of this, a little of that

Okay, I did it. Not the best at it but I did it! Tracy has been nudging me we shall say to use some of the wonderful, adorable stamps I have along with my copics and color a card. I have only colored a few images and am sadly not very good at it. I know, I know you have to practice. Hee hee I get it, okay. LOL So here is practice I guess. I wasn't fond of the magnolia stamps at first. Now I love them. See how things, tastes change.  I only had one, a gift from a friend up until now. Then I see all these wonderful, color masters coloring them and broke down and ordered two new ones. There is just a few more I think I would like to have but all in good time.
I used my MME lost and found2 blush papers from the 6 x 6 stack. The card measures 5.5 x 5.5. I love this size. I had the most trouble with the shoes! What colors do they use for the shoes. I used distress inks like they do in the magazine for the shoe and it did not turn out the way I had hoped. All in all I am happy with the first try with the magnolia stamp. Tons more to learn as you can see.
I wanted to use a paper doily die I have, do you think I could find it? Nope the trolls are back apparently. LOL I keep all the dies in one spot, so I hope it peeks it's little head out of hiding soon.
I have completed about 5 projects but I can't show them just yet. I am waiting for my partner to get them. I am in a swap with a friend and tomorrow she should have her goodies. I will share it all then.
So all your color masters, Help a ol' pea out and tell me what to use to color those boots. Along with any other helpful tips please.
 Have a great Tuesday

Change is good!

Lots of changes going on in my life right now. My home, my personal life, etc so I think a few changes in my business and blogging are also in order. I often get a head of myself but I am trying very hard to work at a slow, methodical pace this time.
I am trying to figure out blogger at this moment and I might be bald before I am through. UGH I love technology and hate it at the same time. I hate when I can't figure something out on my own. I hate asking for help. One of things I just dislike doing. I want to figure it out on my own, but I may have to ask for help on this one.

I am working steadily in any spare moments on a project. I know most of you dislike little peeks but I don't like showing stuff until it is done. Unfinished works can change drastically in a short time, so I only give little peeks to show I am making progress. It makes me feel better! LOL
So here is your little peek. I hope to have it complete in a day or two. Until it is done this ,will have to do.
Hope to see you with more soon.

Another card

I made yet another card. Just quickly as I had a sale and wanted to make a card to go with it. It isn't my favorite card for the year but I think it turned out pretty. You can't tell by my picture but behind the flower is another one in blue that matches the paper perfectly.
I used the last of that bling until it arrives later this week hopefully;) I just love my rina bling from Karla001 etsy store.
Back to my card. I used the last of that vintage lace I had used in Tracy's mini album. I pulled it out of the jar and decided to use it. It actually felt good. I have had it for a LONG time!
Well back to my mini album everyone. I am determined to get it done. It is turning into a treasure I love. I can't wait to share it with you. Hoping by friday.

A card for a friend

I made this card today for a friend. I love how it turned out! I used a precolored image from Gorjuss girls. I love the stamps and have a few but can't bring myself to color them up. I am not very good at it yet and don't want to ruin the pretty images. So I cheated and used the pre-done image. LOL
The little flower was a hair bungie for a ponytail and I just cut off the elastic band. I got 2 of them a few years ago to use in my crafts. I was so happy to pull it out of the almost empty hoard vault. LOL
The picture isn't the best. I sure do miss picnik! It closed and my pictures just aren't as nice. Have to find a new online editing site. If you know of one, I hope you will tell me!
Off to work on my mini, nearing the end I think. YAY!
 More on that soon.

The big ugly

I revealed on You tube that the big ugly was a huge filing cabinet. It was so ugly and still is! LOL I have been trying to paint it but weather just isn't cooperating very well. We have had lots of rain and very little shine. Today the sun peeked out a bit and that was wonderful but simply not warm enough to spray paint :(. I am hoping for another try tomorrow but simply not holding my breath.
See this ugly color. It is actually a beige like burnt oatmeal. LOL  Some insides of the drawers are a gray military gray color. So My guess is it was a military cabinet at one time. Sold someone painted it this blah color and used it for their chimney business. It had a sticker on it saying chimney services. That was kinda neat to see.
My papers won't fit exactly the way I had planned and I sure hope I can get it all in here. If I can't I don't have a plan B at this point so I guess I will get that figured out when I get there. LOL Poor hubby if he has to move this beast twice. It is HEAVY! I mean HEAVY. I can barely scoot it. I am not weak but I am not a lumberjack either. LOL
So back to work for me.  I have a few projects calling my name. Including the vacuum. LOL

IT's A BOY!!!

I am happy to announce that Tyler and Cassi are having a boy! Found out today without a doubt it is a boy.
Yay! so happy. Just look at that wee face. Gonna be a cutie. I think that is mom's nose by the looks of it.
Henry Michael is what they are saying for the moment ;). They want a strong name. So we shall see. No matter what name they choose this will always be fox to me. It is a very long story but a sweet one. I will share another day perhaps. Just wanted to share my joy.
 sweet dreams my friends
